Vintage 1940s HAMMERSLEY QUEEN ANNE HAND PAINTED TAB HANDLE CAKE PLATE Mint
The very desirable "QUEEN ANNE" pattern. This is the original and not a reproduced pattern. Likely dates from the 1940s as the details are much more defined confirming an earlier vintage production. Very ornate in scalloped shape and very detailed transfer and fully hand-painted with heavy gold gilding. Completely hand painted in bright colors over transfer - the details used by the artists are incredible - the workmanship cannot be duplicated today. Virtually mint condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, other damage or restoration. Minor surface scratches commensurate with use.
Very bright, unfaded handpainting details and glossy glaze. Very minimal wear to gold gilding.
