Description: A nice, large hand-thrown creamware plate made in Vallauris, France. It was made by Vallaur-Ceram, probably in the 1960s. It's decorated with a really nice, earthy abstract landscape of a town, probably of Vallauris itself. It's a nice piece of painting, equal parts Cezanne and Picasso. Size: 9.5" in diameter, 1.5" tall.
Mark: round Vallaur-Ceram backstamp, labeled Vallauris. Condition: fine, no wear or damage. Some glaze pops in the surface. The only issue is that the hanging holes aren't perfectly top dead center, so if you hang the plate from the wire, it hangs slightly crooked (see pic #6).
